The attached index card reads:

"ATTENTION!!"

"Remember our bake sale Saturday, March 10, at Duckwall’s.  There’s a $1.00 fine fi [if] you forget.  It starts at a new time, 10:00 am, see Suzanne for your working time.  Have you paid your dues?  Have you paid your fines?  There’s a sports meeting at Nancy McVicar’s house [,] 531 Wickham Road, Sunday the 11th.  A new rule that goes inot [into] effect Sunday is that if you talk out of turn, you pay the treasury $0.01!  It could get to be expensive, you know, so bring your pennies, Shimmies.  Also, we are going to make our name cards, Sunday, for the dance so bring a sheet of poster board.  We need, very desperately, $100, so start thinking, NOW, we’ve only got one month!"
